Ants Carrie is a multi-talented artist based on the stunning east coast of Northland, New Zealand. Known for his distinctive coastal tiki style, Ants creates everything from detailed ink drawings to bold acrylic paintings on canvas. His smaller works are crafted using fine inky pens, while his larger pieces bring vibrant life to canvas — each one a reflection of his deep appreciation for surf culture, island motifs, and the natural world.

 

By day, Ants works as an anesthetist, a profession that speaks to his incredible precision and attention to detail — qualities that also shine through in his art. A true creative at heart, Ants also plays bass guitar, surfs, and applies his craftsmanship across a range of projects, from building handmade frames to transforming his own home.

 

Though art is a hobby, his passion and dedication are evident in every piece. Loved by many, Ants’ work is more than just visual — it’s a vibrant expression of life on the coast and the many influences that shape it.
